Miami Beach, FL – March 8, 2025 – Conservationist Cristina Zenato, known as “the shark whisperer,” shared her groundbreaking work with sharks during an illuminating conversation at Faena Theater. Renowned for her dedication to marine education, Zenato captivated audiences with stories of her deep connection to these misunderstood ocean predators. Having personally removed over 300 fishing hooks stuck in sharks’ jaws, her pioneering efforts in shark behavioral studies and conservation in the Bahamas and other shark-populous ocean sites left a lasting impact.
Zenato also unveiled her latest project, Water Interconnectivity, which explores the intricate links between our lives and ecosystems through the flow of water. The event offered an enlightening journey into the ocean’s depths, emphasizing the vital role of sharks in maintaining marine balance and the importance of preserving our planet’s interconnected water systems.
