Guests can expect to indulge in dishes beyond pastries, including an a la carte daytime brunch-focused menu all week long featuring classic American favorites with a distinct French twist. When asked his favorite dish exclusive to the nee Wynwood location, Chef Couvreur shared, “Oeuf à la Coque, which are two soft boiled eggs served within the shell alongside finger brioche toast and topped with Petrossian caviar.
WRE: What inspired you to choose Miami as the city for your first-ever U.S. Restaurant, and what drew you to the Wynwood neighborhood?
Chef Yann Couvreur: The first time we stepped into the Wynwood neighborhood we fell in love with the diversity, culture and atmosphere. Wynwood reminded us of the neighborhood in which we opened our first shop, Belleville in the 10th district of Paris It was clear from the second we arrived that we were going to open our first us flagship café in such a unique area.
WRE: Could you share insights into the dining experience patrons can anticipate, particularly with the menu and ambiance?
YC: Yann Couvreur Café introduces the essence of french ‘art de vivre’ to the bustling Wynwood neighborhood — guests are able to experience true french hospitality and way of life within seconds after walking through our doors. The café exerts a sense of calmness and tranquillity the same way a true bistro on the streetside of Paris would feel like. WRE: Can you tell us about the design of the restaurant and any unique elements diners can expect?
YC: The interior of the café beautifully blends warm-toned natural materials that are reminiscent of the pastry chef’s emblem such as travertine and birch. Featured inside is an expansive open kitchen and gold travertine countertops, as well as six lighting fixtures that echo the codes of cake molds that drape over a cast terrazzo floor and walls covered with Italian ceramics made in renowned Italian architect Gio Ponti’s workshops.
WRE: Among the menu selections, what are some of your favorite standout dishes and are there any that are exclusive to the Miami restaurant?

YC: Yann Couvreur Café will eventually introduce a thoughtfully curated weekend long brunch menu, however, diners can rely on the café as their premier destination for à la carte brunch-focused offerings throughout the entire week.
