Miami Design District Presents Sliced: A Genuine Pizza Party at Miami Design District

Miami, FL – February 21, 2020 – The South Florida favorite known for putting Miami’s fashionable Design District neighborhood on the culinary map, Chef Michael Schwartz welcomed SOBEWFF guests to Jungle Plaza and the neighborhood for a night of savory pizzas under the stars. To celebrate his cookbook Genuine Pizza: Better Pizza at Home (Harry N. Abrams, May 2019) Schwartz rounded up some of the country’s top pizza-makers to serve up seemingly endless, ooey-gooey slices of pizza for guests to indulge in, as they grooved to the indie rock beats of The Hails and sipped on refreshing beer, wine and cocktails. The Hails are an indie rock band formed in Gainesville, FL whose sound is a reflection of the band’s appreciation of a wide variety of musical styles – marrying elements of 70s and 80s pop rock with the colorful and sometimes moody aesthetic of modern indie/alternative. Wood-fired, oven-baked, thin crust and more – there was a pizza pie for everyone!
