14th Annual Sallarulo’s Race for Champions Benefiting Special Olympics Florida
Miami, FL – November 2, 2019 – Nova Southeastern University hosted 1,300 runners and walkers supporting Special Olympics Florida for the 14th Annual Sallarulo’s Race for Champions 5K. Runners with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities ran alongside each other as equals. After the run, the celebration continued at the The Carnival of Champions where attendees enjoyed breakfast, entertainment and music . Special attendees included Emcee Kelly Blanco of NBC 6, the top-charting female vocalist of the 50s and 60s Connie Francis, former Mayor of Fort Lauderdale Jack Seiler, Captain Lee from Bravo’s “Below Deck”, and Nova Southeastern University Interim Provost Dr. Ron Chenail.
