Emily Elmore

Miami, FL – October 10, 2019 – Partners and supporters of the Arsht Center’s STEAM-powered musical “Kitty Hawk” gathered to experience the performance with more than 1,000 middle schoolers. The musical, which tells the story of the Wright Brothers’ journey to the first flight, is part of the Center’s Learning Through the Arts initiative. After the show, guests were treated to a luncheon featuring retired Major Emily Elmore, a nine-year U.S. Air Force combat pilot with an inspirational STEAM story of her own.
