Miami, FL – December 2, 2014 – It was a star-studded evening last night as Michael Burke, Chairman & CEO of Louis Vuitton Malletier, with Craig Robins the President and CEO of Dacra and Chairman of Design Miami/ hosted a private dinner and after party celebrating the debut of French furniture maker Pierre Paulin’s unreleased modular furniture design Playing with Shapes, a Design Miami/ Design Satellite located at Palm Court. The Design Miami/ satellite exhibition showcases a reproduction of the original Maquette, currently on display at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, and 18 one-of-a-kind pieces of furniture from Paulin’s original design, produced for the first time ever. As a pioneer in innovation and design, Louis Vuitton has decided to showcase Pierre Paulin’s work and celebrate an explorer of specialized techniques, shapes and materials. This project pays homage to the audacity of a designer who remained loyal to his ideals at a time when interior design was much less understood than it is today. Guests from the art, design, entertainment, and fashion worlds, including: Maia Paulin, Benjamin Paulin, Michelle Williams, Kate Hudson, Miranda Kerr, Jeremie Laheurte, Laure Heriard Dubreuil, Aaron Young, Emmanuel Perrotin, Andrea Dellal, Guy Dellal, Laurie and Richard Stark were in attendance of the lavish evening.
