Miami Beach, FL – February 25, 2011 – The Betsy Hotel held the ideal starter for Food & Wine fanatics venturing out for the Friday evening. This “before party” aroused guests palates and ignited their taste buds in celebration of the world’s oldest and still most perfect pairing, wine and cheese. Wine authority Josh Wesson and cheese expert Laura Werlin hosted the party to discuss with guests why each exquisite cheese pairs perfectly with each selected wine. Featured offerings were displayed from the Cheese Course, a European-style boutique in trendy Midtown Miami, which included handcrafted wheels and wedges prepared by artisans from around the world. Guests indulged in the vast variety of silky, creamy, pungent, and earthy flavors and learned to identify different types of cheeses and recognize them by region of origin complemented by wines from the Southern Wine & Spirits of Florida portfolio.
