Miami Beach, FL – July 27, 2016 – 1 Hotel & Homes South Beach welcomed 50 of Miami’s most influential guests for a unique dining experience at their newest restaurant, watr. Set in a picture-perfect scene, 18 stories above the bright lights of the city, watr embodies a tropical divinity only possible in an unforgettable venue that floats over the sea. Guided through an entry illuminated by a canopy of stringed lights and adorned with ambient greenery, invited guests met on the 1 Rooftop and transported into Polynesian paradise. Each provided with a lei or wreath flower crown imported from Hawaii, guests were greeted by seafood samplings and libations courtesy of watr’s dedicated Cocktail Pairing Connoisseur. Bringing its Hawaiian-Japanese infused menu to life for the first time, guests were treated to courses that were brought in “waves.” Specializing in sushi + poke and innovative cuisine, the tasting touted some of the restaurant’s most prized dishes including a seaweed salad trio, poke trinity, an assortment of fresh sushi rolls, salmon and Wagyu steak entrees, and tropical desserts. As the night began to wind down, a surprise performance by a talented group of Polynesian dancers in their indigenous attire added final touches to the celebratory evening.
