Art Department is the brainchild of techno/house legend Kenny Glasgow and rising star Jonny White. As individuals, both Kenny and Jonny have released countless critically acclaimed records and are internationally regarded as forward thinking, relevant underground producers in North America. Initially coming together to work on a remix, the duo quickly realized that the futuristically raw, synth-driven underground masterpiece they created was gold, starting the birth of something collaborative and innovative, Art Department. U.K. production duo Disclosure has become a definite contender for one of the biggest EDM success stories of the new decade. Although they may be young, brothers Howard and Guy Lawrence’s chops in the studio have given seasoned producers twice their age a run for their money. With releases like “Latch” and “White Noise,” the duo have become chart-topping international stars in just over a year. On Friday, grammy nominated Disclosure intends to wow South Florida fans with their innovative sounds at The Fillmore in Miami Beach. The show has been sold out for some time, so if you were fortunate enough snag a ticket this will certainly be quite a performance.

International Chocolate Festival
Miami food and dessert lovers rejoice because your weekend is about to get a whole lot yummier as the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Gardens hosts the 8th Annual International Chocolate Festival. The festival features three days of sweet events from Friday through Sunday. Attendees can enjoy food demonstrations by master chocolatiers, lectures by local chefs and chocolate experts, and sample incredible treats such as pecan chocolate truffles with smoke salt and chocolate avocado mousse. The event will also offer yoga classes (this may be necessary after consuming all those sweets), cacao plant sales and a chocolate inspired poetry reading. Get your bellies ready South Florida because you’re going to want to dive into this chocolatey goodness this weekend.
