Design on a Dime at The Moore Building in Miami Design District
Miami, FL – February 1-2, 2019 – Housing Works, a leading AIDS-service and advocacy organization, hosted its highly-anticipated fundraising event, Design on a Dime, in Miami February 1st through 3rd at TheMoore Building in the heart of the city’s Design District. The three-day, star-studded benefit raised more than $270,000 in support of the organization’s mission to end AIDS. For the fourth consecutive year, participating interior designers and influential tastemakers created one-of-a-kind room vignettes with designer furniture, art and home décor merchandise, which was donated directly from top brands and sold for up to 80% off retail during the ticketed “Chairman’s Dinner Preview” on Friday, February 1st. The exclusive cocktail reception and preview sale were followed by the annual “Chairman’s Dinner” on TheMoore Building rooftop where philanthropist and real estate developer Avra Jain and esteemed interior designer Wade Hallock were honored. Event guests included James Huniford, Alexander Pettyfer, Douglas Friedman, Matthew Bernardo, Anthony Thomas Melillo, Ximena Caminos, James Wark and Susanne Birbragher.
