Miami, FL – December 8, 2017 – Young Artist Initiative (YAI) welcomed over 600+ guests to RAW’s celebration. RAW was a 3-floor immersive multi-sensory pop up from December 6th to December 9th at the Historic Post Office Building in Downtown Miami during Art Basel 2017. RAW is a disruptive local presence empowering emerging artists during the most important week for the arts in Miami. This is the first and only art event to take place at the Historic Post Office Building. In today’s world, the human mind is constantly over stimulated, not focused on living in the present moment. For its next installment, YAI has selected RAW as the curatorial thesis for site specific installations. The human senses will be stripped to their purest form; ready to be felt in a raw space. With over 40+ emerging artists interpreting the senses, RAW’s pop up aims to challenge, engage and awaken. Guests included Edgar Woo (Woo Supreme),Kelly Talamas (Creative Director of Vogue Mexico + Latin America), Adriana Rangel (Writer at VICE Espanol), and many more. Bombay Sapphire was the exclusive partner of the reception.
