Miami Beach, FL – December 9, 2017 – David LaChapelle, the most conceptually captivating artist in contemporary photography, joined Faena Rose members for an exclusive conversation with ICA Director Ellen Salpeter during Miami Art Week in celebration of his new book project with Taschen, Lost + Found, Part 1 and Good News, Part II. Incorporating a diverse range of influences, from Surrealism and Renaissance masters to contemporary pop culture, LaChapelle is lauded for his elaborately staged images that feature some of the world’s most recognized figures in music, fashion, and film set against provocative narratives of religion, consumerism, and environmental decline. David provided insight into his celebrated career, from working with his mentor Andy Warhol to his impact on fashion photography and the spiritual regeneration that led him to return to his roots in fine art. Following the talk, David signed copies of his new books for attendees. Faena Rose is an exclusive art and culture-based private members club that brings together its dynamic community of likeminded individuals with a robust, year-round calendar of the most engaging and transformative cultural experiences.
