Ximena Caminos & Kerry Tribe

Miami Beach, FL – April 30, 2017 – Faena Art celebrated the closing of the Biennale of Moving Images at Faena Bazaar and FaenaPark in Miami Beach with a special reception and conversation between Chair Ximena Caminos and Los Angeles-based artist and filmmaker Kerry Tribe. The audience was invited to stay for the open-air screening of Tribe’s film, Exquisite Corpse, which was followed by a Q&A with the director. A co-production between Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève and Faena Art, the Biennale of Moving Images is a one-of-a-kind hybrid event bringing together visual artists, film directors, and performers under the artistic direction of Andrea Bellini and Ximena Caminos, in collaboration with Cecilia Alemani, Caroline Bourgeois, and Elvira Dyangani Ose. This event marked the 15th edition of the Biennale of Moving Images and the first time that it has been presented in the United States. A selection of highlights from the Biennale were shown across the Faena District, set in non-traditional spaces and accompanied by an outdoor screening program, as well as special features in the Faena Hotel screening room that took place every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday throughout the run of the exhibition. The biennial was open from April 13th through 30th and was free and open to the public. FAENA ART will now bring the exhibition to Faena Art Center Buenos Aires from May 23-30.
