Legendary Photographer Harry Benson at Faena Rose
Miami, FL – January 31, 2017 – Photographer Harry Benson, who first rose to fame alongside The Beatles as he covered their inaugural trip to the US in 1964, joined Faena Rose members for a conversation and special screening of the new documentary, Harry Benson: Shoot First. Harry shared behind-the-scenes stories from his illustrious career as a photojournalist, having photographed every cultural icon and historic moment of the past 50+ years. Harry has photographed every U.S. president since Eisenhower; was just feet away from Bobby Kennedy the night he was assassinated; in the room with Richard Nixon when he resigned; on the Meredith march with Martin Luther King, Jr.; was next to Coretta Scott King at her husband’s funeral; on maneuvers with the IRA; was there when the Berlin Wall went up and when it came down; and covered the aftermath of Katrina in New Orleans. His extensive portfolio also includes iconic images of Winston Churchill, Bobby Fischer, Muhammad Ali, Greta Garbo, Michael Jackson, Elizabeth Taylor, and countless more.
