Aqua Art Miami VIP Preview at Aqua Hotel
Miami Beach, FL – November 30, 2016 – Aqua Art Miami, sister fair to Miami’s longest running art fair, Art Miami, celebrated its 12th year with a VIP opening party at the Aqua Hotel. In partnership with the Association of Women Art Dealers (AWAD), Aqua Art Miami hosted over 1,000 high-profile collectors, professionals, curators, connoisseurs and artists, including Ben Frost, Hebru Brantley, Jeroen Koolhaas and Dre Urhahn, better known as Haas&Hahn, of the Favela Painting Project, Lebo to view contemporary artworks showcased from 51 emerging and mid-career artists and galleries from around the world, as well as the Art in Public Spaces located in the hotel lobby and the picturesque courtyard, curated by Grela Orhuela and the Aqua Fair Director, Katelijne De Backer. Miami based DJ, Nii Tei entertained attendees with his musically inspired sets during the preview. An avid fan of disco, house, techno, minimal, and Afro-influenced sounds, his quick mixes helped create a fun and vibrant atmosphere at the fair.
