Audemars Piguet Art Commission Presents: ‘Reconstruction of the Universe’ By Sun Xun

Miami Beach, FL – November 29, 2016 – Swiss watchmaker Audemars Piguet unveiled Reconstruction of the Universe, a major new immersive artwork by Chinese artist Sun Xun for the second Audemars Piguet Art Commission, at Art Basel in Miami. Sun Xun’s large-scale installation was unveiled on the Miami Beach oceanfront, spanning a city block between 21st and 22nd Streets. Audemars Piguet celebrated the unveiling with a cocktail party attended by 1,100 guests including brand ambassador Serena Williams and actress Katie Holmes who were entertained by renowned French DJ Martin Solveig. Olivier Audemars, Vice Chairman of the Board of Audemars Piguet, welcomed guests to the event saying: “The Audemars Piguet Art Commission supports artists in the creation of works of exceptional complexity and craftsmanship, and we’re delighted to celebrate the unveiling of Sun Xun’s installation tonight. The immensity of this project was clear from the start, but the more you look at it and talk to the artist, the more you want to look at it again: every time you see something different which makes the whole experience unique.”
