Island Gardens Deep Harbour Launch
Miami Beach, FL – January 8, 2016 – Flagstone Property Group hosted Island Gardens Deep Harbour’s Launch Ceremony on Miami’s Watson Island to commemorate the opening of North America’s only marina designed exclusively for superyachts. The event represented the milestone of Miami becoming the world’s newest superyachting capital. City officials and South Florida’s yachting community joined Flagstone Property Group Chairman and CEO Mehmet Bayraktar in a rope cutting and celebratory luncheon overlooking the newly constructed marina. The event was held outside of the completed marina lounge, where over 50 guests enjoyed speeches by Island Garden’s concept architect Eric Kuhne, Bayraktar and Mayor Tomás P. Regalado, followed by a tour of the piers. Island Gardens Deep Harbour offers 5,000 linear feet of capacity, accommodating an average of 50 yachts stretching up to 550 feet and drafts of 18-21 feet deep. The marina is now accepting daily, monthly, seasonal and annual leases for transient docking. Upon completion of the full development in season 2017/2018, the marina will be complemented by two luxury hotels, hotel-serviced and branded living, a selection of retail and restaurants overlooking a waterfront promenade, as well as a water taxi transportation system servicing Miami and the beaches.
