Miami, FL – December 3, 2015 – During Art Basel Miami Beach, the most important week for Latin American art, Anónimo created a space where ties between young collectors and Latin and Mexican art were generated, free of protocol. Anónimo is a cultural platform that seeks to support social causes by generating ties between Mexican and Latin-American contemporary art with young collectors, through an exhibition and mystery auction. The non-profit’s main purpose is to encourage the purchase of art as a process free of preconceived ideas, motivated only by the connection that an anonymous piece can generate. Anónimo searches for a way to materialize the concept of revaluation of the work of art by its face value vs. its economic value, with the purpose of creating a scenario where the public is able to achieve an independent conversation with each piece, free from preconceived ideas about the author´s career or market value. The evening was hosted by Christie’s and benefiting Hogar Cabañas and the ArtNexus Foundation.
