Miami, FL – December 1, 2015 – Lehmann Maupin and Galleria Continua celebrated Nari Ward’s latest exhibition, Sun Splashed at Casa Tua. Sun Splashed is the largest survey of the artist’s work to date and offers a close consideration of his diverse production. This exhibition examines Ward’s career through interrelated frameworks that reveal the ongoing investigations, both material and intellectual, that have guided his practice across more than 20 years. Rather than chronologically, Sun Splashed was organized around vital points of reference for the artist, including urban space, performance and the body, the dynamics of power and politics, ideas of migration and movement, vernacular traditions, and his native Jamaica.
