Miami, FL – September 25, 2013 – To kick off the third edition of the Recent Cinema from Spain film series, EGEDA and the Olympia Theater at the Gusman Center for the Performing Arts hosted a pre-VIP cocktail reception for over 400 guests. At the celebration, presented by Margaret Lake, Director of Olympia Theater, and Elvi Cano, Executive Director of EDEGA U.S, guests were serenaded with a live Latin jazz trio while they enjoyed a presentation announcing the selected movies that will be included in this year’s series this November. Following the reception and program announcements guests were invited to watch Director Fernando Trueba’s award-winning classic film Calle 54.
