Tomorrow kicks off one of the most anticipated music festivals of the season- Coachella. This is the premier west coast festival, and after last year’s two weekend expansion, it has grown into an all-out party central for Los Angeles and the surrounding area. The festival itself is held in a huge, open valley in Indio, and brings in a wide variety of music from EDM to rock to indie to even a little hip-hop.

And then there are the parties. Much like how Ultra and WMC take over the city of Miami for Miami Music Week, Coachella triggers an off-shoot of tons of awesome parties. There’s plenty of DJs, live shows, fashion events, and celebrities flocking to LA for Weekend 1 of the festival. Some people don’t even go to the actual festival anymore, and just come for the parties because they’re that good. There’s so much to do, but we’ll be out there trying to catch it all. Just a couple of the hot-ticket items: Friday there’s a Wildfox private house party in the middle of the dessert with Bag Raiders spinning. There’s also an H&M party with Santigold performing at a Private Estate in La Quinta. On Saturday, Armani Exchange will throw the super fun Neon Carnival at a secret, undisclosed location as they do every year, with Jesse Marco, Jus Ske, and Kayper djing. If you got an invite, you won’t want to miss an even more exclusive Jeremy Scott and Adidas party on Saturday night. And, all weekend long the Hard Rock Hotel Palm Springs will set up another awesome Hard Rock Music Lounge from Friday to Sunday that’s sure to have the hottest celebrities and musicians hanging out there.
