Miami, FL – March 15, 2013 – Kicking off the first-ever two weekend extravaganza, Day 1 of Ultra Music Festival 15 got the base thumping with some insane acts on Friday. After a week filled with anticipation, the gates opened at 5pm, and thousands of ravers poured into Downtown Miami’s Bayfront Park to see their favorite acts. World Red Eye was right there with them as the official house photographer for UMF for the 15th year in a row. We’ve got the best photos of every major set- getting unbelievable coverage that you can’t see anywhere else. Seth’s photos from Day 1 take us backstage, to the Main Stage, and into the exclusive Lavo • Tao • Marquee VIP lounge where all the DJs and music industry peeps hung out sipping Heineken for the evening.

Both Fedde Le Grand and Afrojack took the Main Stage with high energy sets feeding off the pulse that was pounding throughout the huge crowd ready to let loose. For the night’s closing sets, Swedish House Mafia took over Main Stage as part one of their last two performances together ever- the second to be the final closing set to UMF Weekend 2 next Sunday, March 24. Big names in music like Flo Rida and Alesso posted up in the Lavo • Tao • Marquee VIP Lounge to watch Swedish House Mafia’s incredible set, and were joined by Afrojack and Nicky Romero after they each finished their own huge sets at Main Stage. After the gates closed at midnight, one third of SHM, Steve Angello, headed to LIV to put on yet another killer set, and his other SHM partner Sebastian Ingrosso among other big DJs joined him for the late night fun.
