Miami, FL – November 9, 2024 – The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science (Frost Science) welcomed over 6,000 guests from across Miami-Dade County for its second Family Fun Festival in Downtown Miami. The free event was held as part of the museum’s ongoing commitment to fostering community engagement and access to science education. The vibrant outdoor Knight Plaza came alive with explosive science shows put on by the Frost Science Education team, a drumline and music performances by Young Musicians Unite, special mascot appearances by the Miami Marlins, Miami Heat and Florida International University, and over 15 community partners from across Miami-Dade County. Guests took part in experiments and science activations by museum educators and scientists throughout the day and enjoyed food and drinks by Constellation Culinary Group. The Family Fun Festival was generously sponsored by Jackson Health System, HUB International, Florida Prepaid, Young Musicians Unite, Homestead-Miami Speedway, and Florida Blue.
