Miami, FL – December 8, 2012 – The 2012 Miami Art Museum Ball on Saturday evening commemorated the Museum’s 29 historical years at Miami-Dade Cultural Center in anticipation of next year’s move to Museum Park. In December 2013, the Museum will reopen as Pérez Art Museum Miami in a new Herzog & de Meuron-designed facility alongside Biscayne Bay.

Dinner and cocktails were served in the upper-level gallery featuring a menu inspired by the waterfront bistro at the Museum’s new facility. The gallery was transformed into an environment created by New Work Miami 2013 artist Emmett Moore, known for his innovative experimentation between the fields of art and design. Following dinner, guests danced the night away under the stars on the magically-transformed outdoor plaza as Crash the Ball attendees join the party. Brooklyn, NY-based DJ duo Tanlines provided the beats, while guests enjoyed an assortment of signature desserts created by James Beard-nominated pastry chef Hedy Goldsmith.
