To Infinity & Beyond: Locust Projects’ Annual Benefit Dinner at The Rubell Museum

Miami, FL – February 10, 2022 – On February 10, Locust Projects — Miami’s leading alternative art space — hosted its Annual Benefit Dinner honoring the Knight Foundation’s transformative impact on the arts in Miami and celebrating internationally renowned food and art pioneer Antoni Miralda at the Rubell Museum East Wing. For more than sixty years Miralda, who has been based in Miami since the 80s, has explored connections between art and food culture in exhibitions and major events across the globe. Last night, bathed in magenta light, guests got a taste of his vision, as the dinner took place in INFINITY, a dazzling immersive and performative environment created by the artist for the event. The multi-course meal — inspired by the cultural and culinary influences found in Miami cuisine — was inspired by Miralda and longtime partner and chef, Montse Guillén, and prepared and presented by Le Basque Catering.

The sold-out event was co-chaired by Debra Scholl, Munisha Underhill, and Susan and Richard Arregui. Major sponsors include Richard and Susan Arregui, the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, Diane and Alan Lieberman and Craig Robins. The convivial gathering included artists, Locust Projects board members and a wide array of Miami’s art collectors and patrons, including Micky Wolfson who supported Miralda’s first of many projects in Miami in 1982.
