Miami, FL – November 4, 2021 – After having to cancel last year’s event due to the pandemic, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of South Florida celebrated its 28th Twelve Good Men Luncheon at the Coral Gables Country Club on November 4, where WPLG anchor Calvin Hughes served as the master of ceremonies for the sixth consecutive time. More than 300 movers and shakers from the South Florida community gathered to pay tribute to the hand-picked 2021 honorees in a sold-out celebration, raising around $95,000 to benefit the children and families who stay at the Ronald McDonald House in Miami.

Each year, with the exception of 2020, RMHC of South Florida has honored leading men with a history of outstanding community involvement, civic service, and support of one or more of South Florida’s top charity organizations. Former 12 Good Men award recipients first nominate honorees, and then the event committee members select the 12 finalists. This year’s recipients included various influential men in the community, from leaders in education like Superintendent of MDCPS Alberto Carvalho, to former athletes like Miami Marlins Alumni Ambassador Gaby Sanchez, to finance professionals like South Florida Managing Partner at BDO Antonio “Tony” Argiz.

The 2021 Twelve Good Men honorees included, Antonio “Tony” Argiz, South Florida Managing Partner, BDO; Alberto M. Carvalho, Superintendent of Schools, Miami-Dade County Public Schools; John Grisham, High Jewelry Regional Manager, Chanel High Jewelry; Abel L. Iglesias, President & COO, Professional Bank; Sean Prospect, Executive Director, After School All-Stars; Jimmy Quiroga, Owner, Jimmy Quiroga Designs; Jose C.
