#WRECares – Hands for Hospitality

Times right now are definitely challenging, but in the face of fear and uncertainty, a spark of positivity has emerged in Fort Lauderdale’s restaurant community, as many restaurants and organizations have banded together to bring some light to the darkness and help out their amazing and hardworking employees. The fundraiser is called “Hands for Hospitality.”

The goal behind this fundraising endeavor is to provide financial support to the hourly employees that are currently unemployed or furloughed due to the limited service or shut down of local restaurants in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19), city-wide mandated health restrictions. The money raised in this endeavor will directly go to hourly employees that are not currently without work due to this pandemic. Old School Hospitality, who owns Quarterdeck, Good Spirits, Whiskey Neat and Beach Bar, and Shooters Waterfront have joined these efforts to promote the fundraiser and support their employees.

BROWARD

Mastro’s Fort Lauderdale

Mastro’s Ocean Club in Fort Lauderdale is offering takeout and delivery orders between 12 pm and 8 pm with 10% off orders. Delivery is complimentary for orders within 5 miles of the restaurant and takeout can also be picked up via boat along Mastro’s dock. Order from the restaurant’s To-Go menu with options that include appetizers, salads, seafood, steak & chops, fresh vegetables, and dessert. Select wines from Mastro’s award-winning collection are also available for 50% off with the purchase of a food order. Menu highlights include Sauteed Sea Scallops, Bone-In Filet, Prime Steak Sandwich & French Fries, Herb Roasted Chicken, Alaskan King Crab Black Truffle Gnocchi, and Mastro’s Signature Warm Butter Cake. Casa Sensei

Satisfy all your cravings without having to even get out of the car thanks to Casa Sensei. Quarterdeck Restaurants

All Quarterdeck restaurants are offering patrons 15% off curbside orders. Enjoy the best comfort food from home by ordering delivery via Uber Eats. Patrons can order from an array of menu items including Quarterdeck’s signature Chicken Wings (Mild, Medium, Hot, Honey Garlic, Teriyaki or BBQ), Full Baby Back Ribs, and a variety of sushi rolls (Volcano, Mike’s Lobster Roll) available at the 17th street location. Curbside pickup and delivery is available during normal business hours (hours vary by location).

Good Spirits Fifth & Fed

At Good Spirits Fifth & Fed, patrons who utilize curbside pickup will receive 15% off their order. Delivery is also available via Uber Eats. Menu highlights include Braised Short Rib “Get Shorty,” Churrasco Steak, Lobster Truffle Mac & Cheese, Blackened Tofu Steak, and Seafood Coconut Curry. Curbside pickup and delivery is available during normal business hours until 10 pm.

Bill Hansen Catering

Bill Hansen and Catering and Event Production is now offering special Family Dinner menu packages that can be delivered to homes or businesses. Corporate Executive Chef Dewey LoSasso and Senior Executive Chef Mary Rohan crafted various menus ranging from $35 to $45 per person (minimum of 4 or more guests required) with all delivery fees waived. Cafe Prima Pasta

Cafe Prima Pasta is offering take out orders from 4 pm to 9:30 pm everyday. The Italian restaurant is offering two types of family meals (for 6 or more people). Both options include a 3-course meal but Option A ($120) features protein with a side, while Option B ($99) features pasta dishes. Espresso Bar at The Lincoln Eatery

While The Lincoln Eatery will be temporarily closed, XO Espresso Bar, the chic speciality coffee bar inside the modern-day food hall, will be offering premium coffee drinks, CBD products, wellness drinks, and organic teas for takeout. Additionally, customers can purchase pastries and bites ranging from croissants to cupcakes.
