Area Stage Company Hosts 30th Anniversary Celebration at Riviera Theatre

Miami, FL – October 5, 2019 – More than 200 supporters of Area Stage Company’s (ASC) provocative, world-class theatre and musical productions joined members of the company in celebrating its 30th anniversary at its home at the historic Riviera Theatre. The event was hosted by founders John and Maria Rodaz; ASC’s board chairman, Gustavo Membiela; along with event committee chairs, Martica Membiela and Sara Poses. Fusion Logistics, Healthy Connections, the Del Rio-Veloso family, Carolyn and James Harris, and Andrea and Brian May were among the sponsors that helped make the evening possible.

Prior to the program, attendees enjoyed a silent auction, hors d’oeuvres by Casacuba, Town Kitchen & Bar, along with spirits kindly underwritten by Jose Cuervo, FEW Spirits, Maestro Dobel Tequila and many more. Area Stage Company’s 30-Year Cocktail Celebration would not be complete without its amazing artistic program featuring special performances by the cast of ASC’s recent mainstage production, MATILDA THE MUSICAL, and a touching rendition of ‘Let it Go’ from ASC’s production of FROZEN by students of the company’s Inclusion Theatre Project.
