Miami, FL – March 25, 2025 – Proper Hotels has unveiled its $100 million renovation of The Shelborne, a historic oceanfront hotel on Collins Avenue, set to reopen in May as The Shelborne by Proper.

Designed by Atelier Delphine Carrère Architecture & Interior Design, the reimagined property preserves its Art Deco charm while incorporating modern tropical elegance. The hotel will feature 251 luxurious rooms, suites, and villas, all offering breathtaking ocean views and a seamless blend of mid-century architecture with contemporary sophistication.

Guests can look forward to Pauline, a signature restaurant helmed by Michelin-starred chef  Abram Bissell, the intimate Little Torch bar with expertly crafted tropical cocktails, and a classic Deco-era pool with private cabanas. The Proper Club membership adds an exclusive touch, granting access to a private beach, wellness services, and cultural events.
