WRE News: Florida Panthers Celebrate First Stanley Cup Win at Elbo Room

Mort Lauderdale, FL – June 25, 2024 – The Florida Panthers have won their first Stanley Cup against the Edmonton Oilers, taking to the shores of Fort Lauderdale beach at Elbo Room Fort Lauderdale to celebrate the victory with friends and fans alike.

The Edmonton Oilers fell in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup playoffs on Monday, losing to the Florida Panthers 2-1 at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise.

This marks the very first Stanley Cup championship for the Panthers, who joined the NHL in 1993 and came close to clinching the trophy during the finals in 1996.
