Miami, FL – May 8, 2024 – The Miami Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired (MLB) is celebrating the 32nd anniversary of their ‘Florida Heiken Children’s Vision Program’ during their 17 th annual Music Under the Stars: Bon Appétit Miami. As a division of Miami Lighthouse, the program provides comprehensive eye exams and prescription glasses at no cost to underprivileged school children throughout the State of Florida. These exams help detect underlying medical conditions such as amblyopia, torn retina, glaucoma, and others that if left untreated, could cause uncorrectable vision loss for children.
