Women of Tomorrow Annual Gala 2024 at The Vanderbilt Mansion on Fisher Island

Miami, FL – March 16, 2024 – Women of Tomorrow celebrates it’s 23^rd annual Gala and 27^th year of mentoring at-risk girls at the Vanderbilt Mansion on Fisher Island. The sold-out event is dedicated to former Television Executive and Women of Tomorrow co-Founder Don Browne, who sadly passed away last summer.

Women of Tomorrow Founder & President Jennifer Valoppi, said, “Don leaves a legacy of promoting women and minorities in television at NBC and as the president of Telemundo Network. He brought me to Miami from New York, and when I pitched him on the idea of a program to help at-risk young women live up to their full potential, he threw the weight of the NBC television station behind it and Women of Tomorrow was born.” Tonight’s event also honors the contributions of “Jeweler to the Stars” Jeffrey Rackover, whose generosity to the organization has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to support Women of Tomorrow Mentees. Attendees were inspired by the touching words of WOT graduate Rachel Lorfils, who overcame great odds to graduate Dartmouth College and pursue a successful career in legal finance. More than 25,000 young women have had their lives touched by the program, which has an over 96% high school graduation rate and has awarded more than $8.5 million dollars in college scholarships to thousands of young women, many of whom are the first in their family to even graduate high school. Women of Tomorrow continues to break the cycles of violence, poverty and abuse by uplifting the lives of the young women who will raise the next generation.
