American Express Presents CARBONE Beach Kicks Off Night One with Surprise Performance by Andrea Bocelli

Miami Beach, FL – May 5, 2022 – On Thursday night, American Express presents CARBONE Beach kicked off the first night of the 4-night event with a surprise performance by the legendary Andrea Bocelli.

The evening began with the first musical surprise performance by acclaimed Pianist Chloe Flower during the cocktail hour. Once the cocktail hour commenced, Mayor Dan Gelber took the stage to welcome the crowd, thanking everyone for coming to “his city.” He then presented Major Food Group Co-Founder Jeff Zalaznick with a key to the city, thanking him for making Miami his home.

After receiving the key to the city, Zalaznick and Carbone took to the stage to introduce their second surprise performer for the night: famed Italian opera singer Andrea Bocelli. Guests were in complete awe of the phenomenal performance that lasted over 30 minutes. Following the performance, attendees were treated to a spectacular dinner prepared by Chef Mario Carbone himself, featuring signature dishes from his Michelin-starred restaurant.
