Aventura, FL – March 30, 2022 – On March 30 and 31, supporters of Special Olympics Florida turned out for the Special Olympics Florida Golf Open at the spectacular JW Marriott Turnberry Resort & Spa in Aventura. The two-day event featured a VIP reception and Co-Chairs Reception on Wednesday evening, followed by 18 holes of golf on Thursday. The Title Sponsor for the event was the DeCurtis Corporation and the Presenting Sponsor was Veritiv Corporation. Thanks to the generosity of Special Olympics Florida supporters, sponsors, and partners, the Open has become one of the premier fundraising events in South Florida. This year, golfers helped raise $100,000 to support Special Olympics Florida athletes, some of whom were part of the celebration. For example, athletes Lindsay Fulop and David Mallis, both accomplished golfers, offered lessons on the putting green.
