Miami, FL – June 26, 2021 – On Saturday, June 19, State of Kid hosted a festive afternoon of crafts and treats to celebrate the launch of “DOGS AT WORK: Good Dogs. Real Jobs,” a new children’s book written by Miami-based, award-winning author, Margaret Cardillo (Just Being Audrey) and bestselling-artist Zachariah OHora (Wolfie the Bunny), a fun and creative read aloud about all the real jobs a dog can have.
Guests were excited to receive private book readings from Cardillo and participated in thematic, curated activities including dog collar creations and dog-themed cookie decorating with Miss Nancy. FIU’s COVID-19 detection dog, Cobra, and handler Colonel Mills of Redland Ahead, also made a special appearance to do a live demonstration of a dog at work. Guests received a complimentary copy of the new children’s book and enjoyed delicious ice cream from Frohzen.
Special thanks to State of Kid, Miami Design District, Miss Nancy’s Petit Chefs, Colonel Mills and Cobra of Redland Ahead, Frohzen, Tina van der Ven and Rachel Giammattei.
