Miami, FL – December 3, 2020 – For the occasion of Miami Art Week, The Gallery at Seaspice presented a special exhibition called “Art Remedy,” which will run from December 3 – January, 2021, at 600 NW 5th Street.

Feeling a breath of hope in difficult times is possible if we do not become paralyzed by our fears. In this regard, despite the uncertainty which the COVID-19 pandemic continues to instill, there is a willingness by first responders to save lives, poets to define our collective raison d’etre, and artists who stand in symbolic relation to the art and cultures of our time to create.

From this horizon of certainty and belief, the organizers created Art Remedy, a collective exhibition of contemporary art incorporating installation with architecture, and photography with technology; setting up a dialogue between the viewer and the surrounding spaces. The exhibit will present more than 15 local and international artists, with select works from The 55 Project and GBG Arts.

Art Remedy aims to convey the importance of creating healthy spaces with controlled access so that visitors can enjoy the healing experience that art offers while offering a platform for Local and International artists to flourish. With a deeply held belief in the innovative power of the Miami Art Scene, Art N Folly and Seaspice made it a point to include multiple art works from Miami’s most talented. Furthermore, Seaspice, with dedicated investments in the art community, commissioned a new immersive installation by Miami based artists Stereotank and created a sculpture garden with the works of acclaimed sculptor Alberto Cavalieri all to provoke a powerful sense of environment that aspires to quantify the conceptual and aesthetic relationships of the event.

Pietro Daprano, the event’s curator, commented: “It is necessary to take steps; life is a path that is not marked; we forged it so that the destination becomes our life. Let’s remember the poet Antonio Machado (1875 – 1939) when he tells us: walker, there is no path, the path is made by walking. The validity of his verses invites us to undertake with illusion and optimism every situation no matter how contrary it may seem”.

Miami being one of the leading global destinations for investment in the arts, Art N Folly and Seaspice take the charge to forge a path for our local artist community and the international art market by creating a community experience with much earnestness…. With Art Remedy, the producers promise an interesting exhibition with drawings, paintings, photographs, video art, and sculptures by established and emerging artists.
