Versace Presents South Beach Stories in Collaboration with Acclaimed Interior Designer Sasha Bikoff During Art Week
Miami, FL – December 5, 2019 – Versace celebrated the debut of South Beach Stories, a collaboration with friend of the House, interior designer Sasha Bikoff at their Miami Design District boutique. Marking the second partnership between Versace and Bikoff, the exhibition is comprised of vibrant settings imagined by the designer with one-of-a-kind furniture designed by Bikoff on display.
Driven by the brand’s rich heritage, the exhibition is named after South Beach Stories, a book published by the Versace family in 1993, and is characterized by a color palette inspired by the Magic City inclusive of jungle green, lime, orange and Carribean blue. For the collaboration, Bikoff designed furniture pieces inspired by the iconic and archival clothing the House encapsulates. In addition, Bikoff designed two limited-edition Virtus handbags which were inspired by the designer’s favorite buildings on Ocean Drive. The styles, which can be found exclusively at Versace’s Miami boutique, boast Art Deco pastel colorways including seafoam green, peach and blue.
The celebration kicked off with an elegant in-store reception at Versace’s Miami Design District boutique where guests enjoyed light bites and specialty cocktails amid three settings imagined by Bikoff that were initially presented at Fuori Salone during Milan Design Week 2019. The exhibition continued into Miami Design District’s Palm Court Event Space where an exclusive preview of the collaboration was on view for guests in attendance before it opened to the public today.
Sasha Bikoff was in attendance along with Brendan Fallis, Breah Hicks, Chantal Jeffries*, Christian Combs, Craig Robins, Danie Gomez-Ortigoza, Diplo, Doug Ordway, Deborah Hung, Erica Pelosini, Isaac Hindlin-Miller, James Turlington, Jay Strut, Jocelyn Chew, Kadu Dantas, Hannah Fallis Bronfman, Lisa Marie Mewes, Matthew Chevallard, Matt Warner, Melody de la Fe, Paola Alberdi, Pedro Cavaliere, Sam Chetrit, Sarah Snyder, Shaun Ross, Sophia Macks, Tim Slotta, Zach Bia, and Xenia Tchoumi.
