Brickell features the same commitment to hospitality, high quality food and attention to detail as Lucali Miami. DC PIE CO. is known for its trademark Brooklyn brick oven pies, fresh cocktails and family-style classic Italian fare. “When I opened Lucali Miami six years ago I knew it was just the beginning,” said Dominic Cavagnuolo Owner and Creator of DC PIE CO. “DC PIE CO. is a more casual and approachable concept providing the same great food and atmosphere Lucali Miami is known for while implementing table side technology to enhance the guest experience in today’s fast-paced world.”

DC PIE CO. Brickell is a 150-seat, 3,000-square-foot eatery with two unique indoor and outdoor bars and a patio perfect for lunch, dinner and happy hour. Future guests will also be able to download the DC PIE CO. app giving them options to order to “To Go” and ‘Pickup’.

DC PIE CO. offers thin crust crispy brick-oven pies reminiscent of Cavagnuolo’s favorite childhood pizzerias in Brooklyn. The menu features ingredients that are locally-sourced, sauce that is made fresh daily, and dishes inspired by authentic Italian food and Cavagnuolo’s grandmother’s traditional Sunday recipes. The approachable menu includes pies with a variety of toppings to choose from including Italian artichoke hearts and homemade meatballs, salads with house made dressings, brick oven items such as sweet hot wings and all-beef pepperoni chips, sides like chef’s veggie special and baked artichokes. It took years and years to create our signature pizza recipe, we’re still perfecting our food every day. The secret is in the attention to the details, I mean that sincerely.

WRE: 6 years ago you opened Lucali Miami in Sunset Harbour, how do you hope mimic Lucali’s success with DC PIE CO.?

DC: I wanted to take what we created in Sunset Harbour’s Lucali Miami and share it with America. DCP brings the same great food and great vibe. We decided to enhance the guest experience with the integration of technology by offering easy ordering on tablet menus and table side payment systems to expedite service.

WRE: Out of all the places in Miami, what made you choose to open DC PIE CO. in Brickell ?

DC: Brickell is close to home and offers an an amazing metropolitan vibe. Brickell is just the first of many South Florida neighborhoods which will house a DCP.

WRE: What makes DC PIE CO. stand out from Lucali?

DC: A small 11-inch pizza costs $11, and a 15-inch costs $15. It’s a much more approachable and affordable concept.

WRE: How long did it take to perfect your secret pizza dough recipe? What is your secret to making the perfect pizza?

DC: It took years and years to perfect our signature pizza recipe, we’re still perfecting our food every day. The secret is in the attention to the details, I mean that sincerely.

WRE: Where do source your ingredients?

DC: All of our fresh produce comes from Local Purveyors, while several specialty items such as our Bufala Mozzarella are flown in weekly from Italy.

WRE: What is your favorite kind of pizza or dish?

DC: I love a Plain Pie because you can taste the freshness of all the ingredients without the pie being influenced from toppings.

WRE: Adjacent to DC PIE CO. Brickell, is Dom’s Brickell a signature cocktail bar. What made you want to open a cocktail lounge/bar right next door?

DC: Right next store to Lucali Miami is the Bay Club; the Miami Beach locals bar. Now, we’re bring the same feel to Brickell by providing an intimate, sexy, neighborhood spot with great vibes and our full menu.

WRE: Whats your go-to drink?

DC: It really depends on the time of year and company. I would say my go-to drink is somewhere between an aperol spritz and a great blanco tequila.
