Miami Beach, FL – February 21, 2019 – Bobby Flay, beloved Food Network personality, author and chef/owner of the Mediterranean-inspired Gato in New York City, took on Roman cuisine at this exclusive SOBEWFF dinner! Flay, a 2018 SOBEWFF® Tribute Dinner Honoree, fell in love with the traditional flavors of the eternal city last summer under the expert guidance of a fellow American in Rome, Katie Parla. Parla, a cookbook author and author of the eponymous, Saveur award–winning food and travel site KatieParla.com, introduced Flay to the culinary wonders of the Italian capital and will be on-hand to provide her Roman stamp of approval to this unforgettable dining experience. Flay was joined by Sarah Cicolini, chef/owner of Santo Palato in Rome – one of Parla’s favorites – and Cecconi’s Executive Chef Sergio Sigala to treat diners to their very own Roman holiday. Nestled in the courtyard of Soho Beach House, guests indulged in the bold and classic flavors of Roman cuisine – expertly paired with a robust selection of wines from the Frescobaldi portfolio – as Flay, Cicolini and Sigala crafted a one-of-a-kind dinner.
