Baptist Health Children’s Hospital Butterfly Garden Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Miami, FL – January 14, 2019 – Baptist Health donors, Board members and executives gathered at Baptist Children’s Hospital for a ribbon-cutting and dedication of the new Jessica Schmier Butterfly Garden. The space was created to honor the late Jessica Schmier, whose mother, Liz, established a fund to be used for something to bring joy to pediatric patients and their families while at the hospital. Her compassion and “pay-it-forward” spirit raised more than $200,000 for the fund. The Butterfly Garden is designed to be a place where patients and their families can de-stress, play and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors.
