As a civil libertarian that voted against Trump, Professor Dershowitz is reorienting the debate over impeachment from a political decision by Congress to the same standard he has continued to uphold for decades—the law of the United States of America, as established by the Constitution. Since becoming the youngest professor in Harvard’s history at age 28, Professor Dershowitz has written 37 books, has advised and defended many of the most high-profile legal cases of the past 50 years, and consistently represents impoverished defendants by taking half of his cases pro bono.
