Miami Beach, FL – February 23, 2018 – The Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival’s beloved Burger BashⓇ got a new twist this year with resident Food Network rockstar Guy Fieri as its host! Our beloved queen of burgers Rachael Ray missed this year after an impressive 11-year reign as hostess, and the festival was able to get Fieri to join in on the fun instead. Fieri added his signature twists and turns, with all his mouth-watering creations, which were all offered at the Heineken Light Burger Bash presented by Schweid & Sons. Guest joined us under the festival’s iconic white tents nestled in the sparkling sands behind The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach hotel where they grazed on carefully curated offerings from chefs from across America, and sipped on refreshing Heineken Light beer and wine selections. Guest picked whose burger reigns supreme, by casting their vote for the Heineken Light People’s Choice Award! An esteemed panel of judges, including Andy Cohen, Foodgod Jonathan Cheban, David Grutman, renowned fashion designer and cookbook author Zac Posen. Food Network personality Marc Murphy, and Lele Pons decided on who received this year’s Schweid & Sons “The Very Best Burger Award.”
