Miami, FL – December 1, 2017 – Miami’s cultural, civic, and philanthropic leaders gathered to celebrate free and open access to the most innovative art of our time at the new Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami. The inaugural ceremony began with speeches by philanthropist Norman Braman, Mayor Francis Suarez, Knight Foundation CEO/President Alberto Ibargüen, Miami Design District founder Craig Robbins, and artist Mark Handforth. Guest speakers were joined on stage by ICA Miami Director Ellen Salpeter, and Executive Committee Co-Chairs Irma Braman and Ray Ellen Yarkin. The inaugural procession continued with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony on the outside steps ICA Miami.
