Miami, FL – December 5, 2017 – Vizcaya Museum and Gardens opened Overload, the 2017/2018 Contemporary Arts Program (CAP) exhibition. Throughout the evening reception guests were welcome to explore the expansive house and gardens and encounter newly commissioned works. The exhibition highlights the work of four artists, David Brooks (New York, NY), Orlando Jacinto Garcia (Miami Beach, FL), Arnout Meijer (Amsterdam, NL) and Tanja Smeets (Utrecht, NL). This year’s CAP exhibition marks the first occasion where international artists have been commissioned to create site-specific work for the historic site. The Consulate General of the Netherlands in Miami and New York co-hosted the event.
