16th Annual ArtNexus Celebration at EAST, Miami
Miami, FL – December 7, 2017 – EAST, Miami was the site of the 16th annual ArtNexus Party celebrating 41 years of the esteemed Latin American contemporary art magazine in honor of Art Basel Miami Beach. A live set from Grammy and Latin Grammy-nominated band, Locos por Juana, topped off the high-energy evening. The event was hosted by ArtNexus Publisher, Editor-in-Chief and founder Celia Birbragher and Associate Publisher of Art Nexus Magazine and CEO of LIAISONS Susanne Birbragher, presented by Swire Group, Reach & Rise, and Brickell City Center. The event also marked the debut of Let There be Light, an exhibition showing on the 7th floor of the hotel, curated by art historian and independent curator, Francine Birbragher-Rozencwaig Ph.D., and Editor-in-Chief and director of ArtNexus, Celia Birbragher. Let There Be Light explores technical and representative approaches to the subject of light through proposals created by Latin American Contemporary artists.
