Miami Beach, FL – June 23, 2017 – Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine was thrilled to host the 85th Annual United States Conference of Mayors, kicking off with a VIP reception at the iconic Fontainebleau hotel. Generously sponsored by FPL, opening night festivities included an exquisite poolside party for more than 1,800 mayors and attendees, featuring opening remarks by USCM CEO Tom Cochran; FPL’s Pamela Rauch; Jacques Panis of Shinola who donated 300 custom watches to the mayors; George Foyo of Baptist Health; and esteemed Jamaican Minister of Tourism Edmund Bartlett. Pitch perfect with his message of unity through diversity as a theme for the conference, Mayor Levine introduced a special performance by the Grammy Award Winning musician, world-famous producer, and son of the legendary singer song writer Bob Marley, the artist and legend — Stephen Marley.
