Goya Foods’ Swine & Wine Presented by Hosted by Cindy Hutson at The Biltmore
Miami, FL – February 26,2017 – Previous Goya Foods’ People’s Choice Award-winner for best whole roasted pig, Cindy Hutson returned to The Biltmore Hotel and rounded up some of her fellow colleagues to take this swine-centric affair to a whole new level. This year, Goya Foods and the National Pork Board, the Official Pork Sponsor and Preferred Protein of the Festival, delighted with professional pig roasters who developed their own pig creations and a large variety of amazingly delicious sides. They used their secret arsenal of special spice blends to make guests taste buds dance with their treatment of all-natural, farm-raised, exceptionally tender pork, and delighted swine lovers with creative pig-centric tapas, served inside the Biltmore Hotel Club Ballroom. At the same time, in the beautiful Courtyard, slow roasting whole pigs rendered mouth-watering meat were served straight from each chef’s own caja china and other inventive devices. All chefs competed for the coveted People’s Choice Award, and this year, professional judges casted their Foodie Awards as well. And for the “sweet-toothers”, the Biltmore Hotel featured its own “Sweet Zone” showcasing the creations of experienced pastry chefs and ice cream makers. All these amazing savory samplings were accompanied by wines from Folonari, La Linda and Luigi Bosca, as well as cocktails from Pig’s Nose Scotch Whisky, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, and Zafra Rum. Up-beat tunes and live entertainment by El Tucán Cabaret & Modern Day Lounge capped off this celebration of swine.
