VeritageMiami Kicks off 21st Anniversary with Top Chef Jeremy Ford at the JW Marriott Marquis Miami
Miami, FL – January 27, 2017 – VeritageMiami kicked off its 21st anniversary with the first of four events, on Friday, January 27, the Interactive Dinner. Jeremy Ford, winner of Bravo’s “Top Chef” season 13, and chef de cuisine at The Miami Beach EDITION’S Matador Room by Jean-Georges Vongerichten, guided guests in preparing a three-course meal at the JW Marriott Marquis Miami. Johnson & Wales University students served as sous chefs, helping guests at each table, as Chef Ford led the way from stage. The dinner was accompanied by Best in Glass gold and silver medal wines, which were previously selected by some of South Florida’s top sommeliers. Guests also enjoyed a Bacardi cocktail reception before the dinner, and a lively auction of one-of-a-kind experiences. Lyn Farmer, VeritageMiami director, welcomed guests and introduced the event chairs, Melinda and Jorge Gonzalez, president and CEO of City National Bank. Evan S. Benn, editor-in-chief of INDULGE magazine, and VeritageMiami’s first Culinary Curator, introduced Chef Ford and shared a sneak peek of the magazine’s upcoming Food and Wine issue that features Ford on its cover. VeritageMiami is presented by City National Bank, and proceeds benefit United Way of Miami-Dade’s work in education, financial stability and health.
