FUNKSHION: Fashion Week Miami Beach Presents Fashion Group International South Florida Awards

Miami, FL – November 4, 2016 – FUNKSHION: Fashion Week Miami Beach presented the Fashion Group International South Florida Awards once again at the Miami Design District for the fifth consecutive year. During the evening, Fashion Group International of South Florida paid tribute to the winners and honorees of the 2016 FGI SF Fashion Awards in collaboration with FUNKSHION. This evening’s Fashion Designer award honored Alexis Barbara Isaias. The award for Fashion Styling was presented to Danny Santiago. The Fashion Media award recipients included Lara Lucy and Danie Gomez Ortigoza on behalf of Glamour Mexico and Latin America. Oscar Carvallo and Alain Dib were also honored for The Excellence in Fashion Film. Lastly, the Fashion Innovator Award was given to Minerva Arboleya and Silvio Sulichin for their contribution to South Florida’s Fashion Industry. Throughout the evening, guests experienced a retrospective exhibit by Danny Santiago, a video installation by Oscar Carvallo and a fashion presentation by Alexis.
