Basquiat: The Unknown Notebooks Museum Circle Preview Reception at PAMM
Miami, FL – August 10, 2016 – Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) invited Museum Circle members to preview the museum’s latest special exhibition, Basquiat: The Unknown Notebooks. Guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres as they celebrated this major exhibition focused on Jean-Michel Basquiat’s notebooks. Notable attendees included musician Lenny Kravitz, who toured the galleries with PAMM Director Franklin Sirmans, Barbara Becker and Amaris Jones; Miami Heat player Juwan Howard; Princess Deena Aljuhani Abdulaziz; Chairman of the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners, District 2, Jean Monestime; and local artists Edouard Duval-Carrié, Glexis Novoa and TYPOE.
Basquiat: The Unknown Notebooks is organized by the Brooklyn Museum and is curated by Dieter Buchhart, guest curator, with Tricia Laughlin Bloom, former Associate Curator of Exhibitions, Brooklyn Museum. The presentation of this exhibition at Pérez Art Museum Miami has been organized by Assistant Curator María Elena Ortiz. It has been made possible by the Italian Trade Agency and Salone del Mobile.Milano with additional support from Facebook.
